Pelee Island beaches are best of Lake Erie beaches. Great for digging and building sandcastles and long walks. Most are sandy but others are pebble, stone or shale based. Please note that strong currents are to be found around the tips of the island and care should always be undertaken. Beaches are to be found at:
Fish Point Provincial Nature Reserve
Enjoy the warm waters of Lake Erie on the beach at the Fish Point Provincial Nature Reserve, located on the west side of the island. Take a 1.6 kilometer trail that leads past the look out over the marsh right up to the surf.
Lighthouse Point Provincial Nature Reserve
Situated along the eastern shore of Pelee Island, the beach at the Lighthouse Point Provincial Nature Reserve allows visitors easy access to the each through the hiking trails.
Sunset Beach
Just north of the ferry terminal, is, as the name indicates, an excellent place to watch the sun sink into Lake Erie. End your day relaxing on the warm sand with a bottle of the famous Pelee Island Wine.
East Park Beach
Steps away from the East Park camping grounds, is East Park Beach, located along East Shore Road. Quiet and not crowded, this relaxing beach will wash your worries away.
